Different Styles of Playing Poker 0

How the game of poker began has been debated for years by the pros of poker. Many believe poker came from the game of nas from the Persians, others believe it is from the game poque from France. Poker was named as Poker in the United States in the 19th century.

The game of poker went around the world and people added many options to it for the rules and regulations. Today, so much has been added to poker it has also become an official game at casinos. Now, with the internet the games of poker and slots have been started in many various websites with many versions of poker.

So many versions but three styles of poker remain everyone’s favorite. The three sets of poker still have the main rules just separate variants for each game of poker. They are just played with different styles unique to each poker game.

All poker styles stem of one big tree, so to say. They have the main, first ever style and then many go off that one. The first style to stem off the tree is the community poker game. Once this was added to the internet it was the first free game played. Then other poker games became popular which were Texas Hold’em and Omaha Poker. The second to stem off was the poker draw games and the third was Stud games.

You can look on the internet and find many articles and blogs on poker and all the variants.

Rankings of Poker Hands 0

When learning how to play poker you must learn the poker hand rankings and get them into memory. Knowing what the high cards are and what a full house is, is the key to playing poker. You must learn what cards out rank the other cards to be able to win in the game of poker. There are a total of 10 poker hands that can be made. High cards are easier to get that making a flush or full house. The higher the hand, the better your odds.

Above the higher card is a pair. This can be made of either two 4’s or 2 Queen’s. Three of a kind is the same thing but only 3 of the same numbers. Two pair is having two pairs of two 3’s and two 8’s.

After three of a kind, you can make a straight, which consists of 8-7-6-5-4 or anything like that in a sequence. Above that would be a hand called a flush. This is a set of 5 cards the same suit. Up the line next is a Full House. This is where you have a pair and a three of a kind. Now the four of a kind comes into play. This is where you have four cards like four 5’s.
Straight Flush is a straight that is all combined of the same suit. This is a harder hand to be dealt with. The highest hand in poker is the invincible Royal Flush. This hand is made up of A-K-Q-J-10 of all the same suit.
